Snow day..S'more or less

Marshmallows? Check! Chocolate bars? Double check! Graham Crackers? Triple check!
Great, 'cause I've loaded the firepit with wood.
What do you mean, "Where are your matches?"
You said you'd bring EVERYthing!!!!

Sherriann and I woke up to more snow than any of us had seen in years. While she ooh'd and aah'd, I stood outside,

trying to decide whether I should clean the driveway in case Isabel might need to go somewhere.

After taking a look at the pristine view, I took a deep breath and prepared to dig in.Needless to say, the 10 or more inches we received wasn't wanting to budge.
Luckily, my neighbor Brandon (as well as new neighbor, Travis) offered to lend a hand in exchange for some of my special Venison Chili. I love my chili, but it was an easy tradeoff.

By the time we finished shoveling, Sherriann and Isabel had finished eating.

Isabel decided she wanted some Daddy-time,
and I couldn't say No.

After wearing out Isabel, I remembered that I hadn't eaten since breakfast. I walked into the kitchen where Sherriann had everything together for me.
Chili, sour cream, shedded cheese, and Nachos on the side. After eating, I realized how sore I was from all the shoveling. (Since Brandon and Travis did most of my work, I went next door to help Scott and Delois dig out for a trip to Elizabethtown for a birthday party.

Suddenly recognizing how sore I was becoming, I jumped in the Jacuzzi spa, while Scott cleaned off his deck next door. Delois, his wife, thought I was crazy to be in the spa when it was 10 degrees outside. I told her the 101 degree water felt just fine.

But, to prove her assumption correct, I jumped out, made a huge snowball, and fired it at Scott.
It was late in the day when I decided we needed a snow man. I guess I've seen too many "Calvin & Hobbes" comic strips. I couldn't help myself, creating the S'more-making Snow man. Too bad he forget the matches. No fire, no S'mores!!!

I hope Brandon and Travis remember that I've got chili for them. And, Sherri reminds me, the spa is always open to massage those sore muscles. I hope everyone had as much fun as we all did today. Who says "snow days are just for kids"?

  1. If you're going to have a blog, you need to update it more than once a month! Or are you posting on another blog? It's hard to tell since you have so many sites. :-)
